What To Expect at NSCC?


We are so excited that you are considering a visit to North Stamford Community Church . You might be wondering “What to expect?” This page is designed to help you to relax and feel comfortable when you visit us.  We look forward to seeing you!

WHEN YOU ARRIVE

You will be greeted at the entrance by a volunteer who will provide any assistance you may need. Once inside the lobby, stop by our Information Table for a free gift and some information about our church. We always have free coffee ready and waiting for you, so grab a cup and enjoy the service!

MAIN SANCTUARY

Ushers are waiting in the sanctuary to hand you a bulletin and help you and your family find a suitable seat.

You Can Expect:

  • A one hour, or one hour and 15-minute service on communion Sundays
  • A thought-provoking, engaging and practical message
  • High-energy worship music during our contemporary service and beautiful hymns during our traditional service

 A FUN TIME FOR THE KIDS

Children begin worship with the whole congregation and then they are dismissed to go to Fun-N-Faith Children’s Church, (for a fun and creative lesson) during the academic year. During the summers, Children’s Church becomes a time of games, outdoor play, and ice pops.

WORSHIP

Our Celebration Service is from 10:30 -11:30 AM.  During this service, you will hear a blend of traditional and contemporary upbeat music led by our worship leader and praise and worship team.

Communion
Communion is held on the 1st Sunday of every month at our joint service. All are welcome at God’s table of love.

Come As You Are Attire

Attire ranges from dressy to work dress to casual. You are invited to wear what you feel comfortable wearing.

A FELLOWSHIP HOUR

Following Sunday Worship at both services, all are welcome to gather for coffee, beverages and often a feast of a snack. This serves as an opportunity to get to know one another better.

EASY PARKING

There is a large parking lot next to the church. There is also additional parking behind the sanctuary.

HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY

We have a flat entry with no steps into the sanctuary as well as disabled parking and drop-off area.

MEANINGFUL GIVING

The offering is used to support the ministries of the church. This includes outreach to the community and world and supporting our staff and facilities.
