On Sunday, June 3, 2018, National Cancer Survivor’s Day, the streets of downtown Stamford will be filled with Walkers, Runners, and Volunteers – some who have personally faced cancer, others who have been touched by their families’ and friends’ struggles. Walkers participate in a 3.1 mile course while runners can choose from a timed 5K or 10K loop course. It’s a tremendous day full of fun and support with participants of all ages and fitness levels.
Join North Stamford Community Church as we walk as a team to support Hope In Motion National Cancer Survivor’s Day. Note that we will not be having services at the church on Sunday, June 3
as we will take part in the walk as a church community. The fee to register for the walk is $50 and must be paid by May 25th
. Checks should be made payable to: Stamford Hospital
– and should note Team North Stamford Community Church
in the memo area on the check. All participants will meet at Curley’s Diner, 62 W Park Place at 9:30 am on June 3. T-shirts will be passed out then. Click here to apply online and be sure to note your T-Shirt size on the application.
In addition to the walk, NSCC has set a goal of $500 to give to Hope In Motion. If you are not planning to walk, you can still donate to the cause and help us reach our goal as we at NSCC continue to serve our community in new and exciting ways!
There will be a basket in the narthex where walkers or those donating can drop off their registration forms and/or checks, or you may give to Christine or Wilma. Further details here: http://bit.ly/hopeinmotion2018
